The Technician performs preliminary and ancillary testing and assists doctors with patient examinations. They are also responsible for administrative tasks such as scheduling and maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of exam rooms.
Candidates must be able to perform light physical work, including lifting up to 15 lbs and standing for sustained periods. Visual acuity is required to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of clinical work.
The Technician fulfills an important role in providing data that is critical to the doctor in order to provide proper care and treatment to each patient. This individual is responsible for various administrative and clinical functions, including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary and ancillary testing, scheduling patients, preparing the exam room, and assisting the doctors with any exam needs. They ensure the practice’s quality standards are met, while completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to the patient’s experience and effective communication.
