The Patient Care Technician (PCT) will perform a variety of technical tasks and bedside functions under the coordination of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with procedures, and ensuring patient safety.
Candidates are preferred to have PCT or CNA training, with varying levels of required experience based on the career ladder. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
This position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment. Level I: Preferred experience: PCT training or CNA training preferred Level II: Required Work Experience: At least one year of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.).
