The Registered Dietitian develops and implements nutrition education for patients through individual appointments, group classes, and case management. The role focuses on counseling patients to make diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes to enhance overall health.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics and be licensed as a Registered Dietitian. Certification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and fluency in Spanish are preferred.
Under the direction of the Medical Operations Consultant and in conjunction with the Medical Providers, the Registered Dietitian is responsible for the development, promotion, coordination, and implementation of nutrition education to Access patients. These initiatives can be completed through individual appointments, group classes, phone follow-up and case management. The Registered Dietitian focuses on counseling and instruction to assist the patient in making diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes in an effort to maintain or enhance overall health.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics 2. Licensure issued by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a Registered Dietitian
1. Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist 2. Fluent in English and Spanish
