Staff Nurse - Emergency Room - Temporary

$71.88/hour + DOE + Shift Differential (Base Pay of $68.46/hour includes 5% temporary differential)

Summary Functions independently in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for patients’ needs and/or complications of treatment in the Emergency Department.

Minimum Education/Experience Associate's Degree Degree from college or vocational school from a National League of Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or equivalent accredited school of nursing. The nurse shall have completed a nursing education program that included clinical experiences with actual patients under the supervision of qualified faculty.

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Within 6 months of hire into job

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Bls/Acls/Pals

• Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification).
• Within 3 months of hire into job

Other Experience/Qualifications

Required

• Two years current Emergency Department experience as an RN or one year Emergency Department and one year critical care RN experience.
• Temporary or seasonal staff may be hired with only one year of Emergency Department or Critical Care RN Experience.
