Provide support and supplementation of patient cardiopulmonary and circulatory functions during surgical procedures. This includes operating bypass equipment for heart surgeries and liver transplants while maintaining necessary medical inventory.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in an allied health or scientific field and graduation from an accredited Perfusion program. Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and hold Texas Medical Board licensure and BLS certification.

Required Education Bachelor's Degree in an allied health field, perfusion, or related scientific field, and graduate of an accredited Perfusion program Experience No prior experience required Licenses and Certifications Must be American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion Certified, or eligible for American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certification. Must have Perfusion licensure by Texas Medical Board, or meet requirements to obtain licensure. (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT through course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
