Provide comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care to pediatric patients from birth to 18 years in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include conducting physical assessments, ordering lab tests, and coordinating the disposition process in collaboration with physicians.
Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Practice with 1-2 years of pediatric APRN experience. Candidates must hold a valid RN license in Kansas or Missouri and possess appropriate APRN board certification and life support certifications.
• Clinical Practice: competently provides comprehensive, evidence-based advanced practice nursing care to address the physiologic, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. - Professional Practice: actively participates in beginning leadership, evidenced-based practice/research, and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse mentor.
Master's Degree and 1-2 years experience 1-2 years pediatric APRN experience with Masters. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis within preferred specialty. or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) - preferred and 1-2 years experience 1 year pediatric APRN experience. Exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis within preferred specialty.
