The LVN provides medical care to geriatric patients, including telephone triage and coordinating patient needs with providers via EMR. Responsibilities include performing point of care testing, managing medication prior authorizations, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
Candidates must be a licensed vocational nurse in Texas with a current CPR/BLS certificate and graduation from an accredited nursing school. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Primary Care, Geriatrics, or Internal Medicine is required.

UNT Health is seeking a compassionate LVN to join our dynamic team of healthcare providers at the University of North Texas Health and Science Center for Older Adults. This role requires a candidate with strong organizational skills, a wide set of interests and skills, and strong interpersonal communication abilities. Candidate must have the ability to assess patients quickly and accurately. Exhibits compassion, understanding, the ability to work well in teams, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment is critical for this position.
2 years of Primary Care, Geriatrics, or Internal Medicine clinical office experience.
A licensed vocational nurse (LVN) provides medical care to patients under the supervision of providers and registered nurses.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. A valid Texas nursing License and a current CPR (BLS) certificate are required.
Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
This is a Security Sensitive Position.
