Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. FT position available, Daytime hours Exciting opportunity to become involved with an active and expanding ENT Faculty practice at a beautiful offsite location (South Clinton Ave). Responsibilities include management of patient phone calls/triage, providing patient education on pre and post-surgical care, coordination of care, assisting with procedural activity, and facilitating patient throughput. The patient population is ambulatory but spans non-acute to acute visit needs. Requires established base of nursing competency in assessment and evaluation. Active in quality and performance improvement activities within the department. Must be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. At minimum, 2 years of nursing experience and NYS license required.
