At SimonMed Imaging, the MRI Cardiac Monitoring Registered Nurse plays a critical clinical role in ensuring patient safety during MRI exams, particularly for pacemaker-dependent and cardiac patients. This role combines advanced cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and radiology support to ensure safe, seamless imaging experiences.

You interpret EKGs, identify arrhythmias, and monitor cardiac activity to ensure patient safety throughout MRI procedures.
You apply specialized knowledge of MRI safety protocols, particularly for patients with implanted cardiac devices and complex medical conditions.
You start IVs, administer medications as ordered, and manage contrast reactions according to established clinical protocols.
You assess patient condition in real time, respond to emergencies, and make sound clinical decisions in fast-paced environments.
You work closely with technologists, radiologists, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated, efficient, and safe patient care.
You accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient data in EMR systems while maintaining clear communication with care teams.
Your expertise ensures high-risk cardiac patients can safely undergo MRI imaging when clinically appropriate.
Work at the intersection of cardiology, radiology, and outpatient procedural care in a specialized clinical environment.
