Provides behavioral health counseling to patients with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. Assist with initiating appropriate referrals for patients with substance use disorders who need a higher level of care. Completes screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment. Environment: Heart of Ohio Family Health operates in multiple locations, in Columbus, OH area. All facilities have a medical office environment with front-desk reception area, separate patient examination rooms, nursing stations, pharmacy stock room, business offices, hallways and private toilet facilities. All facilities are ADA compliant. This position’s primary work area is the clinical portion of the facility; ie, patient examination rooms, hallways, and other clinically assigned areas.

Preferred experience: Counseling or internship in mental health counseling.
Required education: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field; Master’s degree strongly preferred Experience with integrated behavioral health preferred. Multi-lingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) and/or experience in working with interpreters/diverse patient populations is preferred.
