The Diagnostic Radiologist interprets various medical imaging studies including CT, MRI, and ultrasound. They also perform basic and advanced image-guided procedures and participate in multidisciplinary clinical conferences and quality management activities.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree, have completed residency training, and be board-eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Valid US work authorization, an unrestricted medical license, and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

What does a typical day look like for the Diagnostic Radiologist? You will: Schedule: Full-time - Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Interprets radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine studies Performs basic and advanced image-guided procedures (CT- and ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainages, percutaneous biliary and urologic tube insertions and exchanges) only during weekday hours; there is no IR call (no nights, weekends, or holidays). Participates in multidisciplinary clinical and educational conferences, quality management activities, and institutional committees-maintains specialty education and basic or advanced life support certification. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Previous experience with the VA is a plus.
