The role involves using ultrasound equipment to locate and record anatomical and functional data to assist physicians in diagnosing pediatric patients. Responsibilities include maintaining quality assessment practices, scanning patient anatomy, and preparing images for interpretation.
Candidates must hold an ARDMS certification and CPR certification within three months of hire, with at least 2 years of related work experience. Experience in pediatric abdominal ultrasound is preferred.
M-F; 20 hours a week.
Maintains and monitors quality assessment practices and procedures to ensure appropriate and proper patient care Accurately interprets oral and written requests stated in radiologic and medical terms Notifies imaging manager of equipment malfunction and obtains necessary repairs. Performs other operational functions, in support of assigned department to ensure quality services Assists in maintaining imaging files to ensure easy irretrievability in a timely manner. Successfully scans and records ultrasound images of the patient’s anatomy, as ordered by the physician Assists in the preparation of images for interpretation and imaging reports.
