Provide comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment services to adults and families through individual, group, and family counseling. Manage client files and coordinate continuing care in compliance with state and federal regulatory standards.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health field and either a State of Alabama social work license or a recognized substance abuse counselor certification. Must meet QSAP II qualifications and maintain CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver's license.

Family Life Center, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor II to join our treatment team. This position provides mental health and substance abuse treatment services to adults and their families in a professional, supportive, and recovery-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping individuals achieve recovery and stability while maintaining high standards of clinical care, professionalism, and documentation.
Counselor II will provide mental health treatment services, including substance abuse treatment, to adults and their families, consistent with the training, experience, and scope of practice established by their respective discipline and Alabama law.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands or arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
