. This contract position is an on-site role that presents a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

As a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients with complex cardiac and thoracic conditions. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, contributing to a dynamic practice focused on patient-centered care and innovative treatment approaches.

Responsibilities

Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records Provide patient education and support to families Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions Stay current with advancements in cardiothoracic surgery techniques

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery Valid medical license to practice in the state of Missouri Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Experience in a similar surgical role preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call shifts

Patient Volume: 5-10 per day

Responsibilities: Perform surgeries, rounding, and consults

Case Types: Thoracic

Support Staff: APPs and Critical Care team

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses

A-rated medical malpractice insurance
