Provide high-quality medical care to neonates within a Level III NICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, conducting rounds, and documenting interactions accurately.
Requires an MD or DO degree with a residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Neonatology. Candidates must be board-certified and hold a valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon.
This contract position is on-site, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with our healthcare team in delivering exceptional care to our youngest patients.
In this role, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive medical care for neonates, working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Provide high-quality medical care to neonates in the intensive care unit Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans Monitor and assess patients’ health conditions and progress Communicate effectively with families regarding patient care Participate in patient rounds and case discussions Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately Stay updated with advancements in neonatology and best practices Adhere to all regulatory and safety protocols in the medical practice
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon Completion of a residency in Pediatrics with a fellowship in Neonatology Strong clinical skills in neonatal care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare Prior experience in a neonatal intensive care setting is preferred
Schedule: 7a-4p + overnight call
25 to 30-bed Level III NICU
Annual NICU Admissions: 500 patients
18.5 patients
Patient Population: 65% Level II acuity, 35% Level III acuity, <10% Level IV acuity
Focus on premature births, bread and butter
Bread & butter neonatal procedures are required
Current Team: 9 Neonatologists
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
