The APP provides general medical treatment, performs physical exams, and monitors patient lines for new and repeat patients. They collaborate with physicians to manage post-operative care across various medical settings including hospitals and clinics.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with a valid state license and DEA license. Certification in BLS and ACLS is required, along with specific board certifications for APRNs or PAs.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) may be an APRN or PA that has been prepared with the appropriate graduate level education and authorized to practice and prescribe as such. This individual will see new and repeat patients, for needs including but not limited to, physical exams, discussion of post op care, and monitoring of patient lines. May provide general medical treatment to patients in a medical setting (office, telemedicine, hospital, Urgent Care, LTC, or Clinic) in collaboration with physician(s) for APP’s where dictated. If the APP will be practicing in the hospital setting, the delineation of privileges will also dictate the scope of practice.
