The Registered Nurse coordinates and performs direct nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department. They collaborate with physicians to design and implement care plans while serving as a resource and mentor for the patient care team.
Candidates must have a BSN or ADN and a current Illinois RN license. Basic Life Support certification is required, and experience in an Emergency Department is preferred.

With the leadership of the Manager, the Registered Nurse functions as an interactive resource in clinical nursing and professional practice. The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and performing direct nursing care for patients, utilizing concepts of the nursing process, serving as resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, professional peers, and other fellow employees, and providing participative supervision to the Patient Care Team Members in collaboration with the Patient Manager.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
