The Pharmacy Intern will obtain new patient clinical and prescription plan coverage information and review new prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role is compliance critical, requiring adherence to division, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law is also required.
Must be able to work 10-20 hours per week while completing Pharmacy degree.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Basic knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law. Proficient in computer skills, including pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR). Knowledge and Skills: Previous pharmacy experience (internship, externship, or work experience) is a plus but not required. Familiarity with community pharmacy operations and institutional pharmacy practices. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining professional standards. Work Environment: The Pharmacy Intern will work in a community pharmacy within an institutional setting, interacting with a diverse patient population and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
