The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for creating patient profiles, entering prescription and insurance plan information into the pharmacy system, and addressing insurance and payment issues by communicating with providers and patients. This role also involves retrieving, preparing, and monitoring inventory for medication dispensing, including utilizing ambulatory dispensing robotic technology.
This position normally requires a minimum of two years of directly related and progressively responsible ambulatory pharmacy experience, though a bachelor's degree is preferred. A Pharmacy Technician certification from a national organization like PTCB is required, or an acceptable state certification.
It is 40 hours with an 8 hour shift rotating between 7:30am to 4:00pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm.
