Riverside Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our team in Kankakee, Illinois.
As a CCMA, you will play a crucial role in patient care by supporting healthcare providers during examinations and treatments, administering vaccines, and conducting various medical procedures.
This position also involves performing essential administrative tasks such as scheduling, managing electronic health records, and handling patient inquiries and demonstrates flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure.

Essential Duties Patient Care: Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for consultations with healthcare providers.
Assist in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety.
Obtain and accurately record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
Perform basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and administering specific injections under supervision.
Administer vaccines as requested by the provider.
Perform pulmonary function tests, electrocardiograms, pulse oximetry, and nebulizer treatments as instructed.
Clinical Assistance: Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment for procedures.
Assist in minor surgical procedures and examinations, maintaining a sterile environment.
Conduct laboratory tests such as urinalysis, blood glucose, and rapid strep tests.
Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies and medications.
Administrative Support: Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures, and coordinate referrals as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.
Handle patient inquiries, telephone calls, and messages promptly and courteously.
Verify insurance coverage, collect co-payments, and process billing and coding accurately.
