The Authorization Specialist is an essential component of the certified agency team. The Authorization Specialist is responsible for requesting authorization for home care services for patients with HMO/Managed Care payment sources and acts as a liaison between community-based COC (Coordinators of Care) and the HMO/Managed Care Companies. This position is a Temporary.
High School Diploma Must have homecare & managed care experience Knowledge about health insurance verification Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally required. Computer Literacy Proficiency in Word and Excel required.
