• Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a certified program for Medical Assistants
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Phlebotomy training; Phlebotomist license and work experience, if required by practice
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working in a medical office/facility
• Experience with practice specialty
• Able to partner with teams in small to large practice groups
• Certified Medical Assistant

Preferred Qualifications

• Considerable skill in communicating verbally, determining priorities, and in organizing work; ability to maintain an organized, alphabetized filing system
• General working knowledge of PC: Excel, Microsoft Word for Windows, and EPIC
• Computerized appointment scheduling experience
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment
• Considerable skill in handling sensitive public contacts with discretion, tact and courtesy when dealing with patients, coworkers and physicians
• Physical ability to perform stocking, lifting and transporting supplies and instruments

Position Details

• Job Type/FTE: Full-Time 1.0 FTE
• Shift: Days - 8 am - 8 pm, every other weekend
• Work Location: Onsite - Dearborn Station
• Unit/Department: Urgent Care

In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work the rotating shift, between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm and will not be scheduled for on-call shifts. We anticipate you will be scheduled to work 100% at the Dearborn Station Clinic. The days of the week that you are scheduled will vary depending on the week, but we anticipate that you will be scheduled to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
