Perform quality acupuncture and Oriental Medicine treatments while collaborating with primary care physicians to provide holistic care. Build the acceptance and utilization of acupuncture through outreach and relationship development within the University Hospitals system.
Requires a Master's degree in acupuncture or Oriental Medicine and current NCCAOM certification. A license in the State of Ohio and at least one year of practice are preferred.
Education Master's Degree in acupuncture and/or the science of Oriental Medicine. (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate the benefits of acupuncture to new audiences – especially physicians who have not yet utilized acupuncture as a part of the care plan for their patients. (Required proficiency) Clear understanding of and ability to articulate scientific evidence supporting acupuncture. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of acupuncture and Chinese medicine principals, treatments and procedures. (Required proficiency) This includes diagnosis, performing acupuncture and Chinese medicine therapies, and formulating and carrying out treatments plans (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Minimum of one year of practice in the State of Ohio (Preferred) and Current certification with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
