The APC collaborates with Rheumatologist Attending Physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with rheumatologic conditions. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, ordering tests, and supporting research departments and medical education activities.
Candidates must hold a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) degree with strong EMR skills and an excellent bedside manner. Experience in rheumatology and clinical research is highly desirable.
Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patient care Responsible for collaborating with Providers to diagnose and treat rheumatologic disease states. Prescribing treatments and medications as necessary and in conjunction with Attending Physician. Support Research Departments and Studies. Contribute to and participate in medical education activities, nationally and locally. Maintenance of all valid credentials, licenses and memberships.
