Assist hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, history and physical examinations, and follow-up visits for a variety of patients. Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for medical illnesses and document all activities using the EMR system.
Requires a Master's degree and a valid Texas license as an Acute Care Physician Assistant with ACLS certification. Preference is given to candidates with 2 years of experience in ICU or CVICU settings.

Ø Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits Ø Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses Ø Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions Ø Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients Ø Document using EMR system Ø Participate in continuous quality improvement processes IF YOU: Ø Enjoy working days, 7a-7p 7 days on 7 days off Ø Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making Ø Texas licensed Acute Care Physician Assistant Ø ACLS certification Ø 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU preferred
The Physician Assistant (“PA”) will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times. Master's degree Physician Assistant required. The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure. The PA’s duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
