Must have fingerprint clearance card pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-411 or ability to apply for one within 20 working days of employment. 4. When services are performed by a BHPP a BHP will provide supervision and the documents used to document the counseling services will be signed off by the BHP. 2. Services

1. A BHT may assist in assessments treatment plans individual counseling group counseling and discharge planning. 2. BHT when a registered nurse is not available to dispense medications will be responsible for the Assisted self-administration of medication and be required to follow Policy #: 8.12 of this manual. B.

Qualifications

1. Behavioral Health Technician must have at least one year of full-time behavioral health experience; preference will be given to candidates who possess long term sobriety and/or a degree from an accredited higher education institution. 2. Must be 18 years of age. 3. Will obtain a copy of their identification showing proof of age. 4. Must have fingerprint clearance card pursuant to A.R.S. § 36-411 or ability to apply for one within 20 working days of employment. 5. The ability to obtain CPR and First Aid training and certification. III. Clinical Oversight: A. On a Monthly basis the clinical director will perform 2 hours of clinical oversight which includes BHP’s and BHPP’s during which they will discuss the scope and extent of services provided the acuity of the residents receiving services and the number of residents receiving services. Each meeting will last a minimum of 60 minutes. At a minimum clinical oversight will be provided at least once during each two-week period that a BHT provides clinical services.
