The Registered Nurse provides medical care to clients and oversees the administration of medication by certified staff. They are responsible for performing skilled nursing duties and providing direction and training to direct care staff.
Candidates must hold a current New York State Registered Nurse license and have at least one year of nursing experience. A valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation are required for travel between locations.
Registered Nurse ensuring appropriate medical care to the people we serve, directly or through an LPN, by: performing skilled nursing duties; providing training, direction, and assistance to direct care staff; communicating and enforcing medical policies and procedures; providing oversight to certified staff in the administration of medication.
Minimum Education, Training & Experience: Current New York State Registered Nurse license One (1) year nursing experience Preferred Education, Training & Experience: Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and reliable transportation Ability and willingness to travel to various Intandem locations to perform skilled nursing duties Ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the people we serve Effective communication effectively orally and in writing SALARY: $37.44 - $43.68 per hour starting rate based on years licensed $10,000 sign on bonus paid out over 2 years Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Full
