The Crisis Worker provides direct mobile, residential, and telephone crisis intervention services to consumers and their families. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing counseling, and coordinating referrals to divert hospitalizations and police involvement.
Requires a high school diploma with 12 social science credits and 2 years of human services experience, including one year in mental health direct care. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, and a valid driver's license is mandatory.

Reports to
Under the authority of Management, the Crisis Worker assures that all operating procedures and regulations are followed. The Crisis Worker provides direct services to consumers, significant others and collateral resources and assists consumers in reaching goals set in treatment.

Working conditions
This position is set in a residential or community environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach. Must be willing to perform all job-related travel associated with this position.
