Vascular Sonographer Senior, Part-Time, Days

• Job Summary Performs all vascular lab studies to include advanced level imaging.
• Provides quality patient care using vascular lab equipment.
• Assists with clinical rotations in both in-patient and outpatient settings as schedule dictates and participates in after hours and on-call services.

• Performs all vascular lab studies to include the advanced level imaging such as standing venous, renal artery, hemodialyses, steal studies, PSA injections, operative and/or TCD exams as well as specialized research and clinical trials studies.
• Performs high quality vascular lab exams using independent judgement during the exam to accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings.
• Exams must follow IAC approved scanning protocol and the Smart Protocols must be utilized when possible.
• Reviews images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough and prepared for review by reading physicians.
• Participates in the daily workflow by watching the technologist worklist to ensure timely patient care.
• Schedules exams through the transport system if applicable.
• Participates in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend and holiday schedules.
• Operates all vascular lab testing equipment and software packages including but not limited to ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR and Structured Reporting and PACS.
• Proficient in the use of telephone, printers, and fax machines.
• Reports any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and removes equipment from service.
• Cleans the equipment and work areas daily and stocks rooms with supplies and linen.
• Performs monthly deep cleaning of equipment and maintains appropriate logs.
• Attends staff and departmental meetings as well as educational conferences.
• Participates in the discussions.
• Keeps abreast of changes in the field and participates in collecting data, images and articles as necessary.
• Must be trained at a minimum of three Vascular Lab locations and float as needed.
• Acts as a clinical preceptor and trains Vascular Sonographers and students.
• Participates in gathering information for monthly QI meetings and assists in presentations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
• Minimum Requirements Education - Graduate of a formal Radiology or Sonography program.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience - Two (2) years of Experience in all Vascular Lab imaging to include TCD and/or other advanced level exams.
• Clinical rotations during a formal educational program may be considered as experience.
• In Lieu Of In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, TCD registry; OR five (5) years of dedicated vascular lab experience may be considered.
• Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses ARDMS (RVT) or CCI (RVS) registered
