Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job: Education and Formal Training: Associates Degree in Nursing required Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred Current licensure in North Carolina as a Registered Nurse or Compact state licensure Unit Description: The Emergency Department (ED) provides high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients presenting with a variety of acute medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions The unit consists of 12-22 treatment beds. We provide care across all phases of emergency service — triage, stabilization, treatment, and disposition (admission, transfer, or discharge) Our patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric individuals, encompassing both low-acuity and high-acuity presentations. We are committed to delivering timely, patient-centered care in a community-focused environment Our Care Team is composed of Registered Nurses, paramedics, certified nursing assistants, physicians, and advanced practice providers, all working collaboratively to provide safe, efficient, and quality care Our PCM, department educator, and Charge Nurses are available to support staff with education, clinical guidance, and access to policies, protocols, and resources Our electronic medical record system is EPIC Experience in hospital and emergency settings preferred Weekend and holiday rotations are scheduled according to departmental needs and staffing guidelines.
