Requires a Master's degree in Divinity or a related theological field and board certification or eligibility. Candidates must be ordained or licensed with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education and 1-2 years of ministry experience.
The Spiritual Care Staff Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients throughout the facility (Emergency Room, inpatient units, both medical and psychiatric, ICUs, and outpatient areas as needed) as well as families, and healthcare staff. This role involves assessing and addressing the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals possibly facing health care decisions, trauma, and chronic/terminal disease. The Staff Chaplain collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
