Responsible for the initial licensing, re-licensing, and ongoing support of family foster homes to ensure compliance with State standards. Acts as a liaison to community agencies and provides essential support and documentation for foster parents.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and successful completion of DCF training for Licensing and Family Service Counselors. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and experience with at-risk children or Child Protection Certification is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Successful completion of training provided by DCF for Licensing and Family Service Counselors. Prior experience with at risk children preferred. Valid driver’s license. Current certification in First Aid and CPR is recommended. Child Protection Certification preferred . Schedule & Hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (Hybrid schedule to begin upon completion of training and deemed appropriate by the supervisor and director.) Once the offered candidate accepts, they must complete the following: a Level II Background screening (Live Scan) in which your fingerprints will be used to conduct the screening. Clear a substance abuse screen. Provide copies of all degrees prior to your first day of employment. Clear a Motor Vehicles Record check and must be insurable under the company’s automobile policy. Provide copy of driver’s license. Provide copy of automobile insurance if deemed to be a driving risk. Positive references.
