Relief Licensed Veterinary Technician – Emergency

$28.00–$32.00/hr + $3.50/hr Night Shift Premium Differential

Relief / Per Diem opportunity in Pasco, WA

Schedule

Relief / Per Diem, flexible schedules available. Weekend coverage needed (Saturday–Sunday Day Shift). Traveling relief LVTs welcome, mileage reimbursement and lodging assistance available for anyone picking up two or more consecutive shifts.

Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency Service has expanded our doctor team and is looking to add more LVTs to our practice! If you are interested in learning and growing with an amazing team of nurses and doctors, you've come to the right place. Newly licensed technicians are encouraged to apply, you'll have the opportunity to learn emergency medicine while being mentored by the best LVTs in the area.

Whether you bring ER or CCU experience or are building your foundational skills in restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, and collecting accurate vitals, we'll teach you the rest - your compassion, skills, and ambition will be rewarded.

In your day-to-day, you will

  • Perform patient restraint, venipuncture, IVC placement, and collect accurate vitals
  • Perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and appropriate confidentiality and discretion
  • Learn and grow in emergency medicine skills under mentorship from experienced LVTs
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
  • What You Bring
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in the State of Washington
  • High school diploma, and graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician Program or equivalent; A.S. Veterinary Technology and a passing score of VTNE
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses and other position-related tasks
