Serve as an Operating Room Nurse providing perioperative care for patients of all ages undergoing major surgical procedures (dental rehabilitation, cesarean childbirth, general, gynecological, orthopedic, neurological, genito-urology, ophthalmology, plastic/reconstructive, podiatry, thoracic, vascular, and ENT). Perform circulating roles; ensure sterile technique; anticipate the surgical team's needs; collaborate with surgeons to plan and implement efficient, cost-effective surgical care; may circulate or scrub to support cases. Maintain aseptic technique; ensure accuracy of sponge, instrument, and needle counts and adequacy of supplies; review and edit surgeon's preference cards. Set up, use, reprocess, and maintain unit/department-specific equipment (lasers, electrosurgical generators, sterilization equipment, video towers, operative microscopes, endoscopes, surgical instruments/drills, implants, positioning devices, insufflators, and robotic equipment).
