Provides direct and indirect care for psychiatric patients, including monitoring vital signs and observing mental status. Ensures a safe environment through safety checks, de-escalation, and assisting with physical restraints under RN direction.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certifications in CPR and hospital-selected de-escalation techniques. Previous healthcare experience is required, with one year as a behavioral health technician preferred.
