The technologist is responsible for obtaining high-quality diagnostic x-rays in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic following physician orders. They must ensure patient safety using ALARA principles and maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved radiologic technology school with ARRT(R) certification and active medical radiographer licenses for Nebraska and Iowa. BLS certification is required, and one year of clinic or hospital imaging experience is preferred.

Our Clinic Radiology Technologist, works in a fast paced and high-volume orthopedic clinic. This person is responsible for friendly and positive interactions with our patients, while obtaining quality diagnostic x-rays in accordance with our physician's orders.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Performs quality x-rays in an orthopedic clinic setting. Responsible for quality control of images taken, and able to adjust positioning and technical parameters to get required anatomy for optimal results. Assess patient's abilities to comply with the physical requirements of the exam, then effectively communicate with the patient to complete the exam in a timely manner. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with patients, physicians, management and fellow team members in an efficient and professional manner.
This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
