Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and CT scans while ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Responsibilities include administering contrast media, managing IV access, and maintaining CT equipment performance.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiological or Nuclear Medicine Technology school and ARRT registered. Required certifications include BLS/CPR and certification in modalities such as general X-ray, CT, or MRI.
Description Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays CT (Computed Tomography). The technologist must ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis, maintain patient safety, comply with healthcare regulations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Additionally, the technologist must complete annual radiation safety training to ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols
This position may require evening or weekend shifts and on-call availability based on departmental needs.
Perform CT imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Administer contrast media as required, including gaining vascular access by starting and discontinuing IVs Operate and calibrate CT scanners to ensure optimal performance and image quality Maintain CT equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Graduate from an Accredited School of Radiological Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in one or more modalities such as general X-ray, CT, or MRI Basic Life Support (BLS) certified and maintain current CPR certification. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the department schedule. Continuing education and training are encouraged to stay updated on industry trends and technology developments in cardiac imaging.
