Hourly Pay Range

Position Highlights

  • Thursday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm,
  • Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and 1
  • Saturday a month 7:30am – 12:30pm.

  • Travel: Yes- This position will travel to our Skokie office once – twice a week or other locations for vacation, vacancies and/or medical leave coverage. This position will also be trained to cross cover Gynecological Pain & MIS.

What you will do

  • Provide clinical care under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit and take medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; perform bladder scans, void trials, catheterizations, assist the physician during procedures
  • Collect/prepare specimens
  • Sterilize medical equipment/scopes using High Level Disinfection
  • Answer phones in admin office
  • Schedule, reschedule and register patients
  • Review provider templates
  • Perform other functions as delegated
  • What you will need:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
  • Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a Women’s Health medical office (or related field) is preferred.
