Thursday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm,
Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and 1
Saturday a month 7:30am – 12:30pm.
Required
Travel: Yes- This position will travel to our Skokie office once – twice a week or other locations for vacation, vacancies and/or medical leave coverage. This position will also be trained to cross cover Gynecological Pain & MIS.
What you will do:
Provide clinical care under the direction of the office Practice Manager and Physicians
Document vital signs, allergies, medications, reason for office visit and take medical histories
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; perform bladder scans, void trials, catheterizations, assist the physician during procedures
Collect/prepare specimens
Sterilize medical equipment/scopes using High Level Disinfection
Answer phones in admin office
Schedule, reschedule and register patients
Review provider templates
Perform other functions as delegated
What you will need:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a Women’s Health medical office (or related field) is preferred.
