Perform highly complex forensic and medical toxicology, biochemical genetics, and endocrinology laboratory procedures with minimal supervision. Maintain equipment and conduct continuous quality assurance activities to ensure the validity of test results.
A Bachelor's Degree in a related Physical Science and 1-2 years of lab experience are preferred. Certification as an NRCC or MLS-ASCP is preferred or eligible.
Performs highly complex forensic toxicology, medical toxicology, biochemical genetics, special chemistry and endocrinology laboratory procedures with minimum supervision. Performs routine tests and analyses of body fluids, tissue, or forensic evidence using a variety of sensitive, analytical laboratory equipment. Applications include newborn screening follow-up, therapeutic drug monitoring, endocrine function monitoring for congenital adrenal hyperplasia and identification of the presence and/or concentrations of alcohol, drugs, toxic agents and trace elements. Maintains equipment, logs samples, and consults with clients. Performs continuous quality assurance activities, including evaluating specimens for acceptability, performing quality control testing procedures and evaluating data, and taking necessary actions to correct identified problems
Bachelor's Degree in related Physical Science and 1-2 years experience in a lab setting preferred, but other related experience accepted. The pay range for this job begins at $29.66/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
