The RN coordinates patient care for oncology populations by assessing needs, implementing individualized care plans, and administering chemotherapy. They serve as patient advocates and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe transitions and high-quality cancer care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a valid Texas or Compact RN license and BLS certification. An ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certificate is required within six months of placement.
