The Sonographer produces diagnostic ultrasound images of various organs and structures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires an advanced understanding of anatomy and vascular physiology to operate imaging modality equipment.
Candidates must be graduates of a certified program and be ARDMS accredited or registry eligible. While one year of experience is preferred, the facility is open to new graduates who can complete their registry within one year of hire.
The Sonographer assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic images of various organs and structures of the human body through the use of high frequency sound waves (ultrasound). Ultrasound is an extremely operator dependent imaging modality and this position requires an advanced understanding of anatomy and vascular physiology.
