Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments for residents in a skilled nursing facility. Ensure compliance with safety policies, maintain medical records in EMR systems, and coordinate with physicians regarding patient responses.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current, active LPN license and CPR certification. Proficiency in English communication and basic mathematical calculations is required, with geriatric care experience preferred.

Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and the medication stored properly Ensures the correct disposal of all sharps Key information into computer systems including EMR Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations Other duties as necessary and assigned

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Current, active license as an LPN Experience in long term geriatric nursing care, preferred Current CPR Certification Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement and weight measurement Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills
