The Medical Assistant is responsible for taking patient vitals, performing EKGs and Holter monitor hook-ups, and assisting physicians with exams. Additional duties include managing medication lists in the EMR, handling pharmacy refills, and coordinating patient scheduling and authorizations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a current Medical Assistant certification, and BCLS certification. At least one year of Medical Assistant experience and proficiency in EKG is required.
