The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing and dispensing IV additives and medications using aseptic techniques. They also manage inventory, process medication records, and deliver supplies to nursing floors.
Requires a high school diploma and state certification/licensure as required by law. A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Education High School diploma or equivalent. Licenses/Certification State Certification/Licensure if required by state. Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred. Basic understanding of the role of and use of a computer in the processing of prescription orders with minimum word processing skills.
