Provide nursing care for adult and pediatric patients with congenital heart disease using a family-centered approach. Coordinate clinic workflows and collaborate with providers to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Requires a nursing degree from an accredited school, an Ohio RN license, and BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and three years of pediatric clinical experience is desired.
Part-time, 24 hrs/three days per week, Dayshift, Monday-Friday Will provide care to both adult and pediatric patients with congenital heart disease. Must be able to travel to other clinics (up to 2 hrs away) as needed. No overnight travel. NCH vehicle provided. Minimum pay - $34.82 per hour | Pay to commensurate with experience. Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Summary: Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.
Essential Functions: Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff. Education Requirement: Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure Requirement: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
