The Sleep Technologist Trainee is responsible for preparing patients for sleep studies, applying sensors, and monitoring data acquisition. They ensure patient safety and perform therapeutic interventions such as PAP and oxygen administration under supervision.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED with six months of patient care experience, or be enrolled in an associate degree program for sleep technology. Valid CPR/BCLS certification and proficiency in basic computer and communication skills are required.

Sleep trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and associated interventions. The sleep trainee works under direct supervision of a sleep technician or a sleep technologist.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED plus six months of direct patient care experience or one year of postsecondary education.
Current enrollment in an accredited educational program leading to an associate degree with an emphasis in sleep technology.
