The Traveling Mohs Technician is responsible for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining tissue specimens to produce quality microscopic slides for diagnosis. They also manage laboratory maintenance, supply inventory, and ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations across multiple clinic locations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to travel up to 90% of the time. A Medical Assistant certification and one year of Mohs Technician experience are highly desired, while an associate degree in laboratory science is preferred.

Traveling Mohs Technicians are instrumental to our success so, we're looking for someone dedicated to providing the best care possible with a big emphasis on empathy. As a Traveling Mohs Technician you would be instrumental in providing a variety of support functions that are critical in the lab such as processing, embedding, cutting and staining tissue specimens so a quality microscopic slide can be produced for diagnosis by the Mohs surgeon. The ideal candidate should be totally comfortable traveling between agreed upon clinics, demonstrating competency in all skills related to patient care … Bonus points if you are also great at making others smile!

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
This position is a Float/Travel position meaning that you would travel weekly to our Denver, Colorado Springs, Salida, Broomfield, Frisco, and Edwards offices based on MOHS business needs. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy working with different teams and will be willing to travel to any of our clinics based on the highest need for the day or week. We are looking for a team member who will provide excellent skills and become an asset to our clinics. Mileage expenses will be reimbursed accordingly.
