Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening, with a focus on pediatric patients. Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information. Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance activities.
Supporting clinic operations and assisting with coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow.
Requires a high school diploma and mandatory experience in pediatric phlebotomy. Candidates must be able to handle physical demands including lifting up to 30 pounds and working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
