The Medical Assistant provides professional clinical care by preparing patients for examinations and assisting providers during treatments and procedures. Responsibilities include recording medical histories, documenting vital signs, and maintaining a sterile and safe clinical environment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a former military Medical Technician. Certification as a Medical Assistant and CPR/BLS certification are preferred or required within a specified timeframe of employment.
