Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures with precision and expertise Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care Collaborate with surgical teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary Participate in surgical rounds and provide mentorship to medical staff Ensure compliance with medical standards and regulations Maintain thorough documentation of patient records and surgical outcomes Engage in continuous education to keep abreast of advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery Demonstrated ability to perform complex surgical procedures Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and techniques Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, 1-2 weekends per month
Daily Volumes: 5-10 patients, 0-3 admits, 2-7 ICU, 1-2 surgeries
Patient Population: Adults
General cardiac surgery (open & endoscopic), coronary artery bypass surgery (on-pump), valvular repairs & replacement, IABP, PA catheter, and balloon pump
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
